This portrait of my Love in Photoshop was one of the key ones in my experience.
Besides the fact that I wanted to continue experimenting in a black and white palette and a classic, artistic style, on this work that I tried out digital brushes imitating dry pastels for the first time. Before that I was particularly interested in the digital type of work, with an emphasis on electronic brushes. However, after I painted portraits with real dry pastels, I was interested in working with imitation of traditional painting on computer.
In this case, the higher precision and variety of brushes, combined with the functions of photoshop, allowed me to find a balance between artistry and the digital look of the portrait.
