Portrait #12

While painting this portrait of my Love in Photoshop, I wanted to concentrate on working with strokes, overall shapes, and expressiveness.
I wanted to achieve a picturesque color and show all the textures, using digital Photoshop brushes to give the effect of charcoal and dry pastel painting.
To get the expressiveness of the strokes, I tried to pay more attention to the planes and the lighting.
In addition, I adopted the painting pipeline from my past work, trying to paint layer by layer, going from the general shapes to the particular ones and not making any changes to the layers that have already been painted. It was good practice to finish the work on each layer, so that even the rough shapes on the first layers look harmonious and finished.
