Jim

While working on this model in ZBrush, I tried to recreate a 2d character in 3d space, which was a new challenge for me due to the high level of stylization of the original character.
As a basis, a frame from the cartoon "Treasure Island", was taken. I tried to recreate it as close to the original as possible.
When rendering this model, the knowledge of creating different fabric materials from my previous works helped a lot. But to replicate materials close to the original color pallet, minding the realistic lighting in the renders, was not an easy task. The most important thing was to find a balance between the stylization of the original character and the realism that rendering in 3d brings.
The final picture was rendered in Keyshot and composed in Photoshop. And the turntable gif was created in Marmoset Toolbag.
